I''ll second the ca hinge hate! what junk. My wife got me a corsair with the ca hinges and when i landed from the first flight 2 aleron & 3 elevator hinges were torn in half. I am just getting back into this and went back to the old method of pinning my hinges. I used to use tooth picks cut flush with the stab/wing but now just use regular straight pins and have had no problems.
Try punching holes (I use a 1/8" hole punch) in the pinned hinge and using either 30 minute epoxy or the foaming glue. I can fit 6 holes in the standard dubro pinned hinge. When the glue runs through these it will NEVER come out. Stuff teh glue into the slot and on the hinge, push in set level and leave it untill cured. With the foaming glue u gotta periodcially wipe it, keeping the hinge level after wiping... With either of them be sure to lightly Vaseline the center and apply a little heat so the Vaseline runs thru the pin but NOT the gluing surface. With the foaming glue keep some paint thinner (standard oil base from hardware store) it will ease the wiping of the foaming glue. U can swipe a little Vaseline on the surface of the covering to ease scratching the glue residue off.
You will be impressed with the hold, no pins or tooth picks needed...
