I have read that some racers actually prefer the gear diff over the ball diff, but I have no idea.. I have only tried the gear diff (stock), no experience w/ the ball diff.
I ran the HPI X-Pattern Belted tires when I had my M-03M. Did not use the stock tires so I can't comment on that!!
