Regarding your new sim... You'll want to 'remove' that ratchety feel the left hand throttle/collective stick has to it. Hovering at a constant altitude will be impossible.
To fix this, you'll need to remove the back of the sim's transmitter and somehow flatten or bend up the tab that contacts the rack of the gimbal.
FYI: Helicopter version radios have a smooth throttle/collective stick set-up for the purpose of flying helis..... airplane flying is not an issue with a 'Heli' radio, but the opposite is an issue.
