I've used it. The ratio of paint to water varies with the color of the paint. It's been a couple of years so I don't remember any details of what I've used. Best advice is to cobble up something you can use to test different settings on and then experiment. Their directions were pretty good, though they aren't very well organized so it pays to read them through a couple of times and note the key things.

One thing I found is that I had to disassemble and clean the gun, using lacquer thinner, between coats; just spraying water through it doesn't do the job. I use distilled water for thinner, because the water I get out of my well is full of chemicals from the softener. Your mileage may vary.
