this has got to be getting into the 32 oz of nitro per flight - that's one quart or 1 liter of fuel - serious pocketbook stuff. While these glow engines are really cool, it's hard to justify a liter of glow per flight in this day and age.
Clearly, the logical options are either gas or electric. With ~3000W at about a minimum of $100 for the motor and a ~$120 12s setup this puppy could do wonders. The cost of lipos these days throws glow fuel a hard punch especially at the small and large scales. With the latter, the limiting factor is the cost and features of the ESC.
Alternatively, a ZDZ 40 might fit nicely in the nose - not sure.
