I'm kind of surprised at that. Everyone hates Venom!
I'm not. I own two of those packs, they are around 2 years old now and are still better than most of my other lipos(Zippy/Turnigy/Vapextech/Thunderpower). I went 6 months without balancing them and when I did finally get them on a balance charger they were within 0.03 of a volt of each other. What they also don't mention is that they have a semi-hardcase (kind of like a thick plastic/rubber covering instead of shrink) that protects them from rubbing/impacts which makes it even more surprising they are the second lightest.
