Hey all!

I've had a Tower Turbo Vee 3 for a while now, maybe 2 years or so. This past weekend, I was running my first pack of the season, and it mysteriously slowed waaaaay down. I still had rudder control and maybe 5% total throttle, so I was able to bring it back, but it was clearly broken. Further tests indicate that the speed controller is at fault, but I'm glad it still had some kind of limp to shore mode available, as I wasn't feeling a swim. [&:]

I'm more of a car guy but in the summertime I spend a few weekends at a small lake with my extended family. I'd like to get this thing running again, but don't really feel like spending much as it was a pretty cheap boat, under $100 shipped. Since I am mainly a car guy, I'm not sure what's appropriate or available for boats in terms of replacement speed controllers. Looking for suggestions, but remember I only run it a few weekends out of the year so cost is my main concern.
