made a start on shocks today....... man what a hassle!!! went through 5 different designs, trial , error, ,throwing stuff, lol
couldnt effectively mount shocks normally so i had to resort to inboard shocks (,counter lever,,,bell crank,, etc) which i didnt really wanna do but ohh well
seatled on a good easy design using gas struts
made a sleeve to fit into the shock body and the endcap...giving me an area to drill and tap a fill hole and possibly to drill and tap another hole for a ressie
i soldered them together to seal it then tac welded for strength
the shaft is hardened steel so welding a bolt on the end was the only way LOL
one side assembled
next is the other side then steering.....
