Rough first day back....
So all my RC stuff has been sitting in my shop stored for the last 2 years. I moved so it was put up until I would have time. Seeing that I have 2 Matrix TRs that were only broke in, the thought was it would be quick and easy to pull them out and run. LOL Never turns out that easy. After pulling all my gear out and setting up the bench. I quickly noticed that everything still looked in great shape as packed. I began to charge my RX pack to find that it is about shot. Pack was new when stored. Got to love NmHi. Then charged the starter box to find that battery is about done too. So I made up some jumper cables to my car battery for the starter box to get it going. Put a new C-cell in the glow igniter and fueled the tank. Had put my new spektrum radio pack on charge the night before so it was ready. When I set everything up and was ready to fire up the engine I found that my transmitter was cutting on and off. Could not get it to stop so I just started the engine. It ran about 1 minute died and would not start back up. Check plug and glow igniter. Finally gave up. Took the Transmitter inside to take it apart. Found one wire broke on the battery contact piece inside. Made repairs and now am waiting on some shade or the evening for the second attempt. Sorry for the rant but needed to vent to fellow RCers.
