What does your Funtana 40 weigh?
I don't think people realize how much all those "little" savings add up. When I build and ARF I have an accurate digital scale near by and weigh any suspect parts.
For example, on the Funtana the wheels, axles and nuts were HEAVY. I saved over an ounce by using lite wheels and 6/32 bolts instead.
I think the throttle pushrod was nearly 3/4oz from memory? Left that off too and used a micro servo mounted on the engine mount.
I did leave off the wheel pants and spinner to save about 3 oz.
I didn't make any structural mods.
All those small savings do add up.
