Same two pilots,
two different airstrips,
Three weeks apart almost to the hour,
One pilot uses the same plane and lands with a hole in the covering,
The other pilot has a total loss on both collisions
First time Jim (me) is flying down the runway with a Delta pulls to vertical and,
Wham mid air, my prop removes 11 inches of spar from the center of Jason's Kadet wing.
I pull elevator and land dead stick on the runway,
Jason's newly converted lawn dart hits the ground fifty feet ahead, total loss.
Second time Jim is pulling VHS tape for Jason to try and cut with that same Delta,
I roll to inverted and push to flop over in to the wind and,
Whack mid air, Jason's wing catches my landing gear tears off of his Voyager,
I pull elevator and give her a little throttle and land on the runway,
Jason's newly converted lawn dart hits the ground a hundred feet off the runway, total loss along with the engine this time it planted on a large rock.

I'll tell ya, that Delta's tough. Unfortunately I'm down 2 planes now.
So far the cost is 2 airframes, 2 servo's, a great running OS .46FX, power switch, and 1 rx. I haven't completely gone through the wreckage of this last one, so there may be more losses.
Here's a couple pics.
Cory, you still need to FTP the pics of the crash site to me.

Actually I was going to hit Jason up to pull some covering off of his crashed ones so I could re-apply it on to my delta as patches.
You know kinda like the skin of his victims suit in "Silence of the Lambs"

The more you two fly together the better the chances! The Odds are now 2 to 0!

If we didn't fly together, there wouldn't be much flying going on at our field.

True, some guys like one in this thread,
(but I won't mention his name so as not to offend him),
just have a hundred planes and come down to the field to work on them
but only flies once or twice per weekend
and still calls himself a pilot. ha ha lol

Hey can any one reading this post tell us what that Delta pictured above is.
It came with a 25 size moter mount in it and the wing span is 44 or 48 inches.
I may have to get Jason one for Christmas just to even out the odds.

That was a pretty wild mid-air. I wish I would have not been flying and seen it. Let's do it again so that I can see it and get it on camera. I should donate that combat wing to Jason so he has something cheap and durable to go after that Delta.
That C-130 could probably tow quite a few VHS streamers, now that would be fun!

If your going to play, someones going to pay. We do the same type stuff on the slope. The guys yell "DOG FIGHT, NO RULES".
They forget, they are all flying build up birds and I am flying glass. Like a knife through butter. Quite fun though!

sounds like you caused both
at our recent display we had 12 Funfighters up at once, me and another were doing oppisition and i can spin mid pass
no hits
however two others did without trying
total mess.
if it's still working check out my site of glider videos, 10+ flyers, two groups, dive and meet in the middle, no hits [X(]
