Default Motor, ESC, radio? Which?

Yesterday, i was driving my evader st after i got my new servo. I ran it about from 12 pm to 5pm, switching batteries, and around 5 you had to give the car a little push on a full battery to get it going. I thought my throttle trim was turned down to low but it wasn't cause it still happened. But at the very end of the day. I had 3 brand new charged batteries and none worked. The car moved for a split second and then froze. Is it the Motor, ESC, Radio, battery, or maybe even my charger? Any suggestions.

Oh yah it didnt make a little esc sound when you gave it a little gas. And the wheels turned fine.

u hav probably ran ur brush clean or it jam in it's hood. give it a small pull and release it still froze up, then probably u'll need a new set of brushes.

p.s man did u ever let ur car have a break between those runs? i wouldnt even push mine pass the 30min mark before i give it the towel.

Its not the esc because the light comes on, its probably the brushes.

Is it still the orginal motor? If so, how many battery packs have you run through it?

It sounds like you have a brush problem. My Photon didnt last much past 20 - 25 runs. You can get a much better motor for 30 dollars or so. There are a lot of options.

go for a binary pro stock rabuildable motor it's made by epic and is $28.99, it's your motor, you can tell because either the brushers are SUPER clean and shiny or they are really dirty and charred... you may want to check them... and the magnets...

you should give your car at least 5-15 min break in between runs, unless you are running a main at race track... for bashing it's horrible on the car to run it for 5 hours and only give it like an hour total to rest in that time... in 5 hours of drving I have like 2 1/2 hours of rest for my car to make repairs, rebuilds, soldering, w/e you need to do... in that time you could go to the hobby shop, buy a new body, and paint it...

I ahd the same problem, well kinda. I would run my xxx4 for about 2 or 3 mins and it would stop for a minute and then go again. I thought it was the motor also but soon found out when the diff broke up and the belt was stretched I figured it wasn't the motor at all it was the Diff and the Belt. Well needless to say we had to take apart the Front end and the Rear end of the buggy, take both diffs out, pull the servo apart, dremel a couple screws so I could use a flat head srewdriver to get the screws out, and take the ESC and the Motor out to get to the screws, take the slipper clutch out, And last but not the least put it all back together[:@][:@][:@][:@][:@][:@]
Well I don't know much about the Evader but I was ****ed off.

If you are still running the stock photon motor, it is the brushes. I have found that the photon eats brushes like a fat kid eats cupcakes.

I thinking about getting a new motor for the evader anyway what should i get, so i dont have to change the esc, im cheap so no motor more than $40 but one that will run around 25mph or more.
Im probably using it for some racing and jumping.

Yah i asked the same guy. I checked my motor and it runs, but barely, when out of the car. When its in the car it barely runs or not at all, check the brushes. Im getting a faster motor and new brushes that will work on the Stock motor and use it as a spare.

So this is what im doing but im going to run it on the stock esc. As said in my latest post before this 1.
