Default inexpensive fpv suggestions

I have a runcam2, but the range is just a couple hundred feet. Is there a simple to use and not too expensive solution get video from an RC airplane back down to the ground (ipad)?

I would like to be able to use my runcam 2 as the camera, but if that is not possible, then a turnkey solution with another video camera would work.

Thanks!

Default How to set up FPV systems for cheap!

I'm a new subscriber here so can't post links, but Google my YouTube channel bobflyman there is loads of stuff on FPV on there.

Most FPV set ups use 5.8 ghz video transmitters. Dead cheap. Antennas are cheap.

Google my video bobflyman FPV set up for 55 with Monitor, TX , RX (not inc camera) - Here's How

Loads of info on how to set up a system on there. Iist the components and show you how to put it together. If Runcam has FPV output you'll be set to go.

And Google bobflyman Hawkeye Firefly Micro FPV Camera and TX - Unboxing and Using
that is superb tx and camera set up, all you'd need is googles. Maybe from 40

Google this

ts 832 32ch 5.8 ghz 600 mW transmitter. eachine 10 (There are legal limits in countries for the output. UK is just 25 mW. I use these too. They often come with an antenna. But antennas are a story of their own!

Or you can just buy a chip, add a camera 8 link is in my video at the top that I mentioned. Make a little antenna like this little quarter wave I made. Oh, won't let me post a picture either!

As I say Google FPV and bobflyman, loads of my aerial vids on there. Good luck.

I'm going to check out your videos Bonzo, you sound like an expert, it's something I've been interested in for a while but unsure where to start.

Thanks Cliff, by no means the expert but I have built and tried a few systems and a look at my channel bobflyman YouTube (Google it! ) will give you a good idea how to put together a system fairly cheaply.
Loads of other RC aircraft stuff on there too, and drones, aerial video, paragliding, paramotoring and other stuff including my reviews of over 50 action cameras! It'll keep you amused through this lockdown!

Good luck!
