Hand held receiver and photo framer
This is something I came up with to frame photos. I had this setup mounted on a helmet thinking I could fly and view but it was just too hard to line up everything and snap the photo while flying. I found that it was much easier to have someone else wear the helmet while I snapped the pics but it was clunky looking and no one really wanted to wear the "geek helmet"....haha
So I decided to mount the whole thing on a handle that can be held or put on a tripod. Next I'm going to see if my 3 cell lipos will power the whole thing. I know they will power the rx but I'm not sure about the monitor.
I don't really need a high gain antenna for photo framing (I record video IN the camera) so this setup is simple and manageable.

RE: Hand held receiver and photo framer
I just went out to the shop and made an adapter to use my lipos and it works very well. I was sort of worried about the requirements of the monitor but it powered right up. Now the unit will be lighter and I can mount the battery pack right to it so it's portable. I also think I'll have less trouble finding someone to help............

Thanx paleface Tonight I got the power switch and the lipos all hooked up and redid the hood to make it look a little neater. It should work pretty well. It'll be pretty easy to transport too.

Do a search on ebay for TFT monitors. There's all kinds and sizes. Better yet, get a Mustek PVR A 1 and you can record as well as view. Here are links to both a TFT monitor like mine and the pvr.

Here's the link for the pvr. The nice thing about this is it's compatible with everything from your vcr and dvd player to your stereo to your tv to your wireless video setup. It will do anything.
