Just recently I bought a wireless 2.4 Ghz video cam for my plane (modified Slow Stick). Whilst trying it out at the house I was able to use it without any problems going from room to room and beaming the images back to my camcorder. All seemed fin so I mounted the wireless cam to my plane between the motor and the speed control (completely up front). I took the plane out to test the video and encountered a great deal of interference. The specs for the video cam indicate that the radius of transmission is 100 meters and I was flying well within that distance. Only when the plane flew directly over head was I able to get any decent video images. My question is, is there any optimum position to place the video cam on the fuselage of the plane? Also is this problem related to interference that could be coming from the motor or speed control ? Is this problem being casued because the cam is to close to the motor and speed control?
Any comments/advice/diagrams/setups etc would be greatly appreciated.
Thks,
