1.2ghz illegal?

The frequencies in this range that are legal for Ham ATV use are 1.240-1.246ghz, 1.252-1.258ghz, 1.276-1.282.

If the cheapo units sold on Ebay fall into these frequency ranges they are legal for ham licensed use according to the frequency charts I have seen.

I ordered a Spylinker 800mw unit and will test it with a Panasonic GP-CX171LM camera.

Update

Believe the Spyderlinker systems to transmit on 1080, 1120, 1160 and 1200

RE: 1.2ghz illegal?

In the instances where the Spylinker Tx's were tested by customers, they fell in the 1.1Ghz range. As such, they were not legal in the USA. It is best to test what you get if you intend to operate within the FCC rules.
