U-Can-Do engine thrust question

My Feedback: (34)
I have a buddy who did NOT invert his engine on this .60 sized ARF. He merely turned the mount over and bolted the engine on. (He doesn't like inverted engines)....it seems HIS plane flys better than his friends, voted on my his friends who also own/flown U-Can-Do's.
Question....he claims the thrust line is the same, I say it is higher, but for some reason, the plane flys better.....could this true?

The short answer:
Yes the thrust line can be the same. But the verticle CG will not be the same. As for "flies better" There are too many variables to really determine which one flies better: control throws, controll horns, wing and tail incidence, and most inportantly personal prerence. If he likes it this way, more power to him!!

Getting a inverted engine to run as well as a non- inverted engine usually takes a lucky or experenced engine person.
The difference is --normal.
