how to find wing loading
I have been reading about wing loading, chord of the wing, how to find the Reynolds number. I would just like to find out how to find wing loading. I have taken my Edge with a 672 square inch wing area and it weighs 8.5 pounds. 8.5 X 16 = 136. Divided by 672 gives me .20. That is not a normal wing loading figure. What am I doing wrong? Someone please help me. I will thank you in advance.

RE: how to find wing loading
you have to convert the square inches into sqft...672 sqin divided by 144 equals 4.666 sqft. ...136 ozs diveded by 4.666 sqft equals 29.18 ozs per sqft.

RE: how to find wing loading
Here's a bunch of stuff you might find useful. Not as much as you would find in an aerodynamics book, but it's pretty much what you need to know and you don't need an engineering degree to comprehend the words. :)
