ENGINE OFFSET
 

I think I posted this in the wrong area before ... so here I go again with this question. Recently I have been looking over a bunch or plans don in the late 1980's. The 60 size planes have acurious thing in common ... no engine offset! It makes me wonder just how important the offset is to the flying ability. Also, would it be a good idea to throw in 2 or 3 degrees?

Are you referring to offset, or to angled thrust lines (right thrust & down thrust are most common)? They aren't the same thing.

Are you sure there was no offset. It was often built in by the location of the firewall during construction.
