Add flaps,how difficult???

Mike James....Cessnas are great flyers(full Scale) .....you can on approach on a calmer day keep the same power and sink rate and just fly off the stab trim without bothering the elevator....gradually trimming on the approach......on the Model its impotant to slow up before deploying any flaps....use 10*-20* on the descent until on final then you can Dial-in more flaps and add power to control sink rate...keeping in mind to use a shallower bank angle preferably less than 30*...to make smooth transition.....adding flaps with wings level is the prudent thing to do ...not in turns in case of a problem........Bill.....

Add flaps,how difficult???

Hello. How do you determine the amount of aileron that is safe to convert to flap? I am concerned with losing too much aileron surface. (P51D)

Should a person try to aproximate the scale amount?

Being a newbie, I must ask for the definition of a "monokote" hinge. Is there a thread somewhere where I can get educated on all of the hinge types, pluses, and minuses? Thanks Guys....Dave
