The leading edge has a very *HEAVY STEEL ROD* and I was told that it is needed for additional strength.
Good Lord! That's not an airplane, that's a weapon! If I read this right, you are working on a 40-size trainer. There's no need for any metallic rod in the leading edge. Replace it with a wodden dowel.
Also because i'm reducing the dihedral, the weight I add to the bottom will help level the craft coming out of a roll.
So, why would you want to reduce dihedral effect by flattening the wing, then increase dihedral effect by lowering the CG? Either you want more sporty roll response ( less dihedral) or not... :confused:
