Degrees of Thrust Question

When someone says "use 2 degrees of right thrust" when mounting an engine, does that mean shim behind the right side of the mount, or behind the left side of the mount?

In my mind, shimming behind the left side achieves "right thrust".

Correct?

RE: Degrees of Thrust Question

You would have to shim the left side of the mount for right thrust, that is correct.

RE: Degrees of Thrust Question

It's based on shimming as required to make the thrust line (the center line of the engine or motor shaft) aim as directed. So yeah, shim the left side to angle the thrust line to the right.
