One thing about smaller models is that one ounce can represent almost 10% of the AUW, as with my 10.5oz Sure Shark.
BTW, Mr. Hanson, is the Richard Hanson on this cover you? Or, a relative of yours? David |
RE: Wingloading 101 help
Hi all, I have a 4*40 with wing loading of 18.12 oz/sqft and a Midwest Semi scale Zero with about 23.2oz/sqft. Wingspan real close to each other. Figures based on advertised wing area. The 4* I can usually grease in on landing, flies nice. The Zero is difficult to land. Try to land a little hotter helps but hard to do. Too slow and it stalls. Balance feels good on both when inverted. The Zero flies great! I just can't land it smoothly. Any tips on this?
Thanks, MikeB |

RE: Wingloading 101 help
ORIGINAL: chuck993 Don't all Cubs fly like a trainer though? Nope. Just the ones set up that way. To see what I mean look up Dick Schram "The flying Professor". If you can get a video of him flying his routine you simply won't believe it. I've seen a lot of full scale aerobatic routines but none was as entertaining as his. _____yes, I know he is no longer with us_____ |
