Software for analysing model performance

Hello,

I have been playing with Profili for sometime and was very pleased with it¡¯s user friendliness and the abundance of information it provides on the characteristics of airfoils. I am wondering if there are any similar software out there for analyzing the performance of the whole model taking into account all factors such as the airfoil, wing loading, aspect ratio, dihedral, tail moment, etc¡_ I have tried PC SOAR and finally gave up as it kept giving me error messages that I couldn¡¯t understand .

Thanks,

Y C Lui

Software for analysing model performance

I've used the old DOS based David Fraser Sailplane program with good success. I really need to enter in some data for modern airfoils though. It's loaded with most of the stuff from Soartech 8 but that's pretty old now.

I've also found other tools online for various functions but nothing for free that does "whole model" solutions. There's Reynolds number calculators, vertical and horizontal tail volume calculators (but you need to know what the final number means) and Mean Aerodynamic Chord calculators but they are all separate.
