electronic wind channel
Hi Everybody, first post :)
For a project I am doing I need a electronic simulation were I can build/import a shape and test it's aerodynamics. I also need the figures for it's air resistance and the coefficient of it's fluid drag.Preferable I would like to be able to use nanotechnology on the surface of the object, but that would be a bonus. I would really appreciate suggestion as to what software is best for this sort of electronic testing, it doesn't have to be free as I will need to use it in future and would rather have a general solution for a long time than a cheep program that doesn't have a lot of features, but does have exactly what I need now. Thank you all, David |
RE: electronic wind channel
I believe that you're after more of a full CFD or Computational Flow Dynamics simulator with analyzer built in. The sort of package that produces the funky color coded pressure distribution maping for a graphic body. As for where to get one I can't help you since it's well beyond anything that I'd do or pay for as a simple hobby. Some of the guys "in the industry" have posted stuff like this before so hopefuly one or more of them will chime in.
