Stu,
I have a Slimline Pitts muffler - works well, but still fairly noisy at full power. I can take a photo with the cowl fitted if you wish. The hole for the cylinder head is fairly big to work with the muffler and the YS SuperMount - it moves a lot at idle. See if this video works - the aliasing makes the movement look odd at high speeds, but at idle it looks realistic.
I can't post a link to the Slim Line product because their website is 'under maintenance' and has been for a while. A good hobby store should still be able to get one - i got mine from Hobby Hangar near Dulles airport.

Lots of people have. I have one with an OS 160fx nitro engine and one with a DLE-30. The DLE-30 has less power but it's still plenty of power for this plane. If I did it again, I would even think about going with the DLE-35ra

Built mine per the manual with the OS120AX and Bisson pits muffler. With that big open radial type cowl and no baffling around the cylinder head, does anyone think engine cooling be an issue? Hope to maiden this Spring.

The manual suggests initial CG at 3 and 3/8 inches back from the leading edge at the wing tip, which also seeme to be right down the center of the wing tube.
How far back can I go with the CG and have good response for IMAC type flying and still not be too sensitive on the elevator ?

Yes on the DLE 20 with a 10 oz tank.
It flys nice, the engine fits in the cowl , I used the stock motor mounts and a Bisson pitts style muffler that I machined a little off the exhaust flange to keep from making too big a hole in the cowl.
It will hover but the pullout is sluggish, but for pattern type manuevers it flys great.
