Rocco/Mark do you think a hitec 7950 will be enough for using one per half wing?. I want to start to save money and buy parts for the bigger brother of my 50cc Extra. Hopefully i will get it in a few months. I was thinking 7950 on the ailerons(one per half wing), 7955 on elevators and one 7950 on rudder, powered by a DLE111. Not sure about the power of the system but want to start with the first parts that i mentioned here.

JohnS3D,
Using (1) HS7950 servo per aileron will provide enough Torque But you need to be careful not to get flex or flutter in the aileron at the wing tip. Flutter Can and Will destroy your airframe and you may never even see it.
We don’t recommend using (1) servo per aileron but if you decide you want to setup your plane this way the HS7950 would be a good choice.
Looking forward to seeing pictures of your plane
Thank You

Rocco at this time im starting to save money and i will get a few part by week. I will use:
7955 on all surfaces 2 x half wing, 2 on elevators
7985 on throttle
7950 on rudder x 1
DLE 111 engine
HD switch
SWD arms
So know my main point is what about the power expander.... i was thinking on smartfly, but there is a EQ10, EQ6, which one should be fine...also what aobut the batshare and equalizer?. I dont plan to be the next champion of the world so just need to get something good, safe and not too much expencive, i dont like bling.

The EQ6 is plenty for the Extra and is not too expensive this is what I would recommend

What's the best performing prop for this plane to 3D? I am running a DA100L with stock muffleres. Ready to go just waiting for a good weather day to maiden.

Roadrunner. If I remember correctly I used the ones that came with my DLE111. Which is about 3/4" or three of the Aeroworks spacers.
Here are some pictures of mine form today...I just had a wisdom tooth pulled so my face is swollen and I can't open my mouth properly, don't laugh too hard.

Super08,
Had our Extra 300/DLE 111 out yesterday (Sat). Sprinkled all day but we flew anyway. On the first flight the right stock muffler pipe broke off during the flight. It broke the pipe in two at the muffler body and the part of the pipe inside the muffler is still there. We went ahead and flew anyway as the gas and oil was not getting in the fuselage at all.
When my son, Nick, go home he was taking the right muffler off and noticed the left muffler pipe was all but broke into also. Only about 1/4 of it holding the pipe on. Guess we have to get a new set of mufflers.
We have about 75 flights on our plane/engine. Using a Mejzlik 28x10 prop. You might want to check your mufflers. I don't know if this is a common problem or not. Have you heard of anyone else having the problem?

It used to be very common on the DL50 and DL100's. They had improved the welding on them and it went away. Maybe you got a bad batch or maybe they are slipping with Q.C.. Chances are it was just a bad batch from their supplier as I haven't hear much about it for a long time....we'll see if a bunch of them start showing up.

Hey super looks great. Question for you though.... What size pilot figure did you use. I have an old Helmet head figure I was going to use but he looks way too small for the 35% extra. Is it an AW pilot figure? Thanks for the info.

It is a 35% Aeroworks Maverick Pilot. I have some of the Hollywood pilots as well. Very lightweight.

This may be a help to some of you building the extra 300 100cc size from AeroWorks.
I wanted the lightest dashboard I could for IMAC and found a picture of a real Extra 300 rear cockpit dash, cropped it and then morphed it back square.
I printed it out on photo paper using GIMP the free image editing software.
Fit perfectly on the back cockpit dashboard.
Only weight was the photo paper.
Here is the image.
Enjoy.
