100cc Extra 300 ARF QB
#1

Introducing the new 100cc Aeroworks Extra 300 ARF QB. We are very excited about this new desighn! The all new Extra 300 offers many new and exciting features that are sure to make it the best 100cc airplane on the market. Some of the new features include: Blind mounted cowl- no external mounting bolts, full length pipe/cannister tunnel, new turn buckle pushrods, pre baffled/pre cut cowl.
We have put many flights on this new plane and are very impressed with it. In my opinion it is the most stable, and precise flying 100cc I have flown yet!
Specs:
Wing span 106 inches.
Wing Area 1950
Weight 27 to 28 lbs
Engine 100 cc
Radio 6 Channels minimum

Greg,
We will have a video posted soon. You guys better get it done at homestead, the 48's got it all wrapped up for the most part. It was nice knowing who was to blame for the 24's problems last weekend by the way
As for the snow, we just got out first snow of the season today.

Mark, I am new to giant scale and am looking to purchase my first plane. I am trying to decide on your new Extra 300 or your 100cc Yak. Would like to do it up right and add smoke, etc. Everyone says Areo Works planes are the best so that be the way I am going. Any suggestions on which plane?

Mark,
Just wondering if you have the length of the plane. Front of Cowl to end of Rudder. Also wondering if the Girl in the picture is part of the Christmas special. Ha ha!!!

For your first one, I would go with the yak. It has a thicker wing which is more forgiving in slow flight. I've flown both the extra and the yak and love them both, either way you go, you will be happy with the plane. You could also look here [link]http://www.rcuniverse.com/forum/m_8170161/anchors_8172380/mpage_1/key_/anchor/tm.htm#8172380[/link] for a discussion on this very topic, but the 50cc size

Mark told me the other day on the phone that the length was 97" rudder tip to spinner tip, but Mark, you should chime in here to confirm this. Mark, it also needs to be put into the specs on your web site.
I edited my number, i thought Mark told me 97", but i guess he said 94". Anyway, i corrected my post to agree with what is now on the AW site[sm=thumbup.gif]

Yes, the Extra has rudder servo mounting in the tail and can also be setup with a pull-pull system. For best results we highly recommend using the pull-pull setup due to the long tail moment of the plane.
Thank You

Everyone must be busy building thier 300's. I am gonna help a friend get signed up here and post some pictures
later this week. He finally got started and is making good progress. Since he lives in Colorado he was able to get the first
300 out of the container. How lucky is that. I will be doing one as well but won't be till later in the spring. It is one beautiful
looking plane. I can't wait till it is done and in the air. I must just have to give him a hand and get it done maybe by the weekend.
So stay tuned and watch for some pictures.

I'm off and going. Here's a few pictures. Sorry if they aren't the best. More pictures to come. She is a beautiful plane.
Also will be installing the Smart Fly EQ6 power board which Mark at Aeroworks talked me into. Thanks Mark.
I will also be doing smoke!
