I didn't get to build an Aeroworks plane this winter due to work and some health problems. Hey but I have a new 100cc Extra 260/DA100L ready to maiden this spring! I love my AW planes, my 75cc Yak/ZDZ Super 80 stills looks new. That's why I keep coming back to AW every time I want a new plane. No where else will I spend my hard earned dollar.

What has impressed me about the QB 75cc 260, apart from the quality of packing and ease of assembly, is that after a year of constant use (over 80 flts) it still looks like new. The only parts I have replaced were the tail wheel ass. the stock wheels and a cf tube in place of the stock alum. wing tube.
I bought set of AW wing and stab bags and use a stretch cover to protect it from the sun. Worthwhile investments.
The plane is a definite keeper and - Knock on Wood - I hope to get a few more years on it before I need a new one.

Good luck and enjoy the 32% 260. IMHO still a very competitive IMAC plane (at least up to Intermediate class) and a good size for transport and storage.

That can't be right. Just checked my flt log: make that 120 flts! Anyway, it still looks like new!

The manual says 3" is the recommended CG. 3" is just under 29% as measured at the tip. I ended up at 3 1/4" or 3 3/8"; don't remember which one for sure, but I believe it's at 3 3/8". I fly general aerobatics and some IMAC. The plane is very stable at this CG, yet slows done nicely for landing.

I never have programmed the radio for this plane, but it does tuck pretty good to the gear in knife-edge at this CG. Very nice flying plane overall though and holds up well.

Take a look at the thread for the 33% Extra 260 and you'll see where people ended up with CG depending on type of flying.

I received my 85cc Yak 54, from Aero Works, about 2 weeks ago. Just started assembly. Like others have said, the packing was excellent. The plane arrived in perfect shape. In fact the covering had less wrinkles than any other arf I have ever built. So far fit is also excellent. It is going together quick and I hope to have it ready to go when the weather breaks here. All thats left is radio and cannister installation. Besides the nice quality of this plane, it is absolutely gorgeous. If it flies like it looks, WOW! Thanks Aero Works!

Finally got enough time, away from other projects, to finish up the 85cc Yak and do the maiden on it today. All I can say is WOW!. This plane flies even better than it looks. Tracks straight and needed very little trim. The DA 85 i just right on it and provides tons of power. The plane drew a lot of praise and attention. It makes me look like a good pilot lol! Would definetly buy another AW plane.
