Default Aeroworks Extra 300 .60-.90 questions

Hello. Iam considering getting a AW Extra 300 .60-.90 as my first gas/glow plane. Iam curious to hear fresh opinion on how this plane is and what engines people are happy with. I want a plane that is floaty at stall speeds. I've read some people were not happy with the Saito 100. Maybe there is a new engine coming out that I should wait for? I've seen the Extra 260 fly and it lookedlike it flewreal nice.

The Extra 260 and the 300 are very similar in design and they both fly very close to each other.

The Satio 100 or 1.25 do very well in the plane and keep the weight low. We also have a conversion kit for the DLE 20 coming out this month that will enable you to use the new DLE 20cc gas motor. The airplane weighs about 6 3/4 to 7 pounds.

Oh, hey thanks Mark. Do you think the DLE-20 is going to be the way to go with this plane? Also what are the recommended servos? I would buy this plane right now if it had the updates for the DLE-20 that you described on another thread. Can't wait. Thanks.

Personally I think the 20 is by far the best power option. Any servo with 80 oz of torque or more will work just fine.

We will be selling the update kit as a separate item, so the airplanes will be the same even after it comes out.

I'm flying the the .60-.90 extra 300 with a O.S. 75AX and a 14x6 prop and it rips. Great plane.
When the DLE 20 comes out, I think i will be getting that for next summer.

How much for the DLE 20 conversion kit? Is it for specific 60-90 ARFs or is it something that will work with all of your 60-90 kits?

The addendum kit will be specific to the .60-.90 ProXtra260. It will make the installation of the DLE 20cc simple and easy. We are still working on it but will have it completed by early next month. Sale price is not yet determined.

We have the 20cc DLE Engines In Stock! Visit the web site for more info

Keep in touch and visit the web site for more updates

Thank You

I am considering the Aeroworks .60-.90 300 Extra as my next 3D plane but plan to go electric. I am currently flying a Precision Aerobatics Extra 260 which weighs about 2 Lbs. I am looking for something in the 5-6 pound range that can handle a little more wind. What motor/ battery combinations are being used? What are some of the weights being reported?

Thanks in Advance, Pete
