Default Odd Planes

Hey guys,

I am trying to help a friend identify an odd plane. I am not sure where or when he has seen this plane, but below is a brief description of what he is looking for.

Does any of yall know about a real plane ( not a r/c ) that is a twin engine, turbo prop i think, 1 on each wing, but also has 2 jet engines, 1 on each side of fuselage towards back similar to an A-10, also has 2 tails like the A-10.

So any help you guys can give would be welcomed.

Lonnie

Mixed propulsion aircraft are extemely rare and I can't think of anything that fits your description. In fact I can't think of any aircraft that have turbo prop and jet propulsion both, nor can I recall any types that have jet engines both on the wing and on the fuselage.

That's what I had come to as well. But just wanted to check in case there may have been some type of alien experiment craft floating around. Lol

The P-2J Kai has two turbo props and two turbo jets but they are all mounted on the wing.
