He he...just incase your interested, i am watching 2 fullscale a-10's takeoff right now at work...what a site! Gotta love the sound of those engines, they have a particular whine that lets you know its an a-10!!!!!

Nope I am up at pease international tradeport in portsmouth NH. Single runway,34 and 16. But it is LONG. The runway here is also used as a backup for NASA to land the shuttle because it is so long. I also watch KC-135's do touch and goes all day.

I used to live in Manchester NH, went by Pease a lot. The runway up here in Bangor is a shuttle landing site too. Over 11,000' long.

I always thought it was funny, watching Discovery Wings.

They had one of the designers on there, and he stated that if the A-10 had enough ammunition, and the pilot fired it long enough, eventually the recoil from the cannon would slow the aircraft down to a halt (ie. stall)!

any one know if the A-10 from RCM plans can be converted to glow or electric ducted fan?

mate its a GAU/8 30mm minigun 7 barrel, or 6 depending on what version
if you do a google search for minigun, youll find one of these

I was pre-flighting the jet in Missouri one time and there were 2 a-10s working a tank off the end of the runway. It was way cool!!!!

One of the kids I taught to fly a few years ago flys an A-10 too. He brought it up to show me last year. Too bad it didn't have an extra seat. I wanted a ride so bad!

It would take quite a bit of work, I really don't think it is worth it. I had one a few years ago....
