Care to tell us more? I know the Challenger as a supercritical wing, was snow or ice involved??

I also heard about a controll malfunction,,elevator that was 'stuck'.

I dont really have any hard details or facts, just total speculation on this one. Some things don't add up though. In one of those pictures I see no skid marks or debris. This tells me a couple things. There appears to be no blown tires. You would see some debris or wheel marks. So either anti-skid was operational or possible hydraulic failure. Both T/R's were in the deployed position. Still doesn't negate the hydro failure, since these are opererated by bleed air. Now if a total hydrualic failure occured on take-off, I think he would lose part/most/all of his flight controls. I'm not too sure as I am a Lear guy and not a Challenger guy, but I am around them everyday and pick up tidbits here and there. I think they are all hydro driven. Another clue is I dont see any spoilers deployed. I dont know if they would stay up after a wing rips off, but I dont see any sign of them even being off the "locks". This is my guess. They should know pretty quick since everyone lived.

Now the one in Montrose, Colorado is a whole differents story. I have heard the pilot really screwed the pooch on that one.!!

And I still haven't heard ANY thoughts on the Gulfstrean that hit the light pole in Houston. Anything??
