Man! Can I rant a while?
 

This is getting so frusterating! Most of you know about my crash in june, but probably not the cause. The mechanic screwed up bad and caused the turbo to blow itself apart on take off. I have been basically cleared of any blame, but now I am being told that because i was in a coma, I cant get a medical for at least a year. Talk about frusterating! I am not ready to fly, but my head has been cleared by many doctors, and now someone who knows nothing about it is saying I can't fly. This is huge frusteration. I wanted to start the process of getting the paperwork in order so when I am ready, I can go, and then this CF. Man, I need a punching bag right about now!

Sorry for the rant. You know it always feels better when you can whine about it to aviation types instead of people who have no clue as to what it is like.:(

Glad you're up and about. The way Dave Dunn was talking you should be in bed for another couple months.

The only way I know a wrench could cause a turbo to fail is blocking the oil supply. Is this what happened?

Blown medical? Remember if you just want time, on a non-commercial flight you can still sit right seat so long as someone else is logged as PIC.

PS: What was the tail number? I'd like to see the report on the crash, I've not managed to find it. wr.

Yes, that's it, but it's still the preliminary report. I'd like to see the final, and going to FAA (having the N number) it looks like it has not been published.

Probably be months before the final is issued. Some of the reports are extremely detailed and thoroughly researched. I read the Wellstone final report back in 135 training and it took a couple hours. It was a real eye opener though [X(].

Yea the FAA and medicals. My friend lost his because of skin cancer on his head. It took 8 months to get it back. He said the best help for him was the AOPA. He was able to talk to someone in Ok city with the AOPA and they were able to track the progress of his medical and let him know what they needed from his doctors. The FAA buearacracy, at the highest level. F***** AGAIN AGAIN.

Yea, that is the prelim, The final won't be out for a while. I was on the phone with them all day friday. My file was closed the 27th of june. No action taken. The repair station will have action against it.
