Unfortunately with it's advertized price tag, I doubt that It'll be a serious Light Sport contender.

Dang, you could buy a real airplane for that kind of cash :). It is still the $160,000 solution to the $60,000 problem.

Real, like a real Cub, Cessna, Piper, Beech or even something Experimental, none of these LSA "toys". The new LSAs that I have worked on and looked at all seem to have cut corners in one way or another to limit weight and make them preform "better" and I'm not a fan of doing that. I understand that some people cant get their medical or choose not to so the LSA is the only way to go, but unfortunately it is the overpriced way to go now too.

With 180hp for takeoff it doesn't seem to do too bad. Though I agree that being limited to the artificial 1320-lb gross weight does reduce its utility some, and of course the price is sky high but it is a new airplane.

I Doubt that CubCrafters "cut corners" to get this new plane to adhere to the 1320 pound Gross wt limit. As for it's utility, most people that purchase this aircraft are probably not gonna land on a gravle bar and pick up a freshly shot moose any way!;)
