Hello all, i've just bought an Airtronics SD 10. The thing is that after the first battery charge, the transmitter started making some strange noise, coming from the inside...
It seems like a Hard disc from a laptop searching....its really weird.
I contacted my seller and im sending the radio to him, we was very open and helpfull when I told him the problem, but before that i would like to hear some of your opinions.
He told me that maybe the speakers stay open and work erratically, so what I did was to turn off the speakers, and the noise kept.
The sound comes and goes after some seconds...
Can someone help me?
Maybe I can post a video later
Regards

I cannot recall where, but I have read about this complaint several years ago. You might try searching another forum. My recollection (feeble) is that it did not precede a problem but was simply a weird quirk. I have an old SG10G and a newer SD10GS, and neither makes a noise to me. Then again, I am pretty hard of hearing. Sorry, I wish I had something more useful.

I understand, thank you for your reply. A respected technician here told me there was no problem with that noise..but I dont like it, it's a new radio.

I know a bit about electronics but have no idea where such a sound would come from in the SG10g...Buzzing sounds can be explained, but the sound that you describe is a mystery to me. It would worry me as well. I hope that you can find a resolution.
