FAA LEO guidelines

And I think the FAA has decided that there are simply not enough people doing those things to really be concerned about. You look at the numbers and see IMAC has less than 1,000 members and not all are active. The NSRCA (pattern SIG) has about the same. Soaring? Well maybe a couple of thousand. So put the number at maybe 5,000 with the jet guys (look at the number of turbine waivers on the AMA site). All told they are still 3% of the AMA and a tiny slice of the entire RC hobby. I think deep down the FAA has an "Oh well" attitude towards those groups.

Valid or not, unless they back off we will have to register by 2/19/16.
And I'm glad I finally made my point that the registration process requires us to accept 400 feet as an operational limit. Unless the AMA can get the FAA to back off from that a whole lot of this hobby is screwed (IMAC, pattern, soaring, jets, etc.).
