This year I'm thankful that my fellow AMA forum posters here are healthy . We regular posters are the lifeblood of this forum , and a forum is nothing without it's various personalities

I'll try to make Mongo feel a little better, as far as dinner goes anyway.
The wife and I went shopping last weekend and we bought a beef roast. Due to lack of room in the freezer, it was left in the refrigerator and, therefore, it became dinner, along with boiled potatoes. We had previously bought a turkey but it didn't get pulled out soon enough to be thawed out so we won't get it until later this weekend. Hopefully Mongo will get a chance to actually have a Thanksgiving dinner, as well, before the weekend is over

well, part of being your own boss, is, ya get to select when and where ya are going to work. one of the bad things is, when ya accept a contract, you are there for the duration, 24/7 until it is complete.
not much of a fan of turkey anyway, lean more to brisket/roast beef/ham.

Not a big fan of turkey either but the wife cooked up a whole breast in our Instapot pressure cooker. Came out really good. Not much of a vacation, been working on a airplane that I need to deliver to Medford tomorrow. Like Mongo says, ya gotta see it through. Glad you guys has a safe Thanksgiving, I'm sure we are all hoping for a sane 2021.

FWIW, this is what the AMA Rulebook says:
13. Takeoff Facilities Smooth runways or platforms of sufficient size to permit unassisted takeoffs (at least four (4) by 16 feet for outdoor events) shall be provided for rise-off-ground (ROG) events. Platforms, if used, are to be horizontal and are not to be raised more than six (6) inches from the ground. For rise-off-water (ROW) events, the water shall have sufficient surface area to permit unassisted takeoffs, and shall not be less than six (6) inches deep.

It takes a special kind of being that would rather read censored material and have content blocked than be able to filter out what they want on their own.
Being tolerant of others and things we may not like are defining characteristics of being mature adults. Mature, adult discussions are the reason many of us are here. Fear of censorship, of being "banned", or not being tolerated because of written words (as well as the childish name-calling, physical threats and repeated use of logical fallacies to falsely justify incorrect narratives) is exactly what keeps these forums from fruitful and beneficial discussions. I see you want to live in a sanitary world, where you are only fed what suits your palate. More power to you!

What would be a refreshing change is to see a thread stay on topic and the bickering that leads to locking be stopped. Unfortunately, there are some here in the forums that can't seem to understand that concept and turn every thread into a battleground. As long as that keeps happening, the forums will get less and less people posting until there's nobody left to post. Unfortunately, I do see that day coming, almost as fast as the AMA becoming a thing of the past
