I admit it's not ideal when a hysterical lunatic stalker with giant GIFs, flashing lights, big bold print, the whole enchilada takes over a forum. I just try to make the best of it. Lemons to lemonade.

Could be worse. There used to be AMA bros on RCGroups that would get away stuff like this (maybe not quite this bad) when any non-AMAer would get dinged a point for posting something in response that was not even close to as outrageous. I finally got tired of waiting to get banned on points and sped up the process by rearranging the forum for those AMA jackshafts.

And the biggest troll is you. Since you didn't get your way at RCG, you got yourself banned. Now you're here being a pain in the azz to those of us who have been here over 6 times as long as you have. I've been here 18 years, CP for 19 and Astro for over 20. You've been here for how long? That's right, you've been here for less than three years and yet you're now the self-appointed moral compass of the AMA forum? I don't think so, especially since you're the one that is throwing the most crap around in the forum.
And who's "Gomer", other than a character from a couple TV shows back in the 1960s and 1970s? It can't be me since, not counting this thread, I have the last post in three threads over the first four pages in the forum and three more, totaling six threads, over the first five pages. Getting back to Gomer, one of the TV shows was Gomer Pyle, USMC. Actor Jim Nabors played the part brilliantly, showing the pride the character had in being a Marine.
Could you be referring to:

• the slang term "gomer" which means "an undesirable hospital patient, or a patient who does not need medical care"?
• the promiscuous wife of prophet Hosea as told in the Bible
• Gomer, grandson of Noah, builder of the Biblical Ark

None of those seems to fit me either so, again, who/what are you referring to?

Hydro you're not even an AMA member as such I doubt any of your enlightenment comes from the AMA itself so most likely you just regurgitate someone like Franklin. Have you ever been a member???? Not being a member what are you hoping to accomplish? You accuse everyone who posts in disagreement with you or the other 3 or 4 in your camp as attacking so what is called when you reciprocate in kind?

As noted many times, one does not need to be a member of AMA to comment about its policies, procedures, and actions (or lack of action). Hydro is a US taxpayer, a part owner of the airspace in which the AMA hopes to operate, and therefore he has the right to comment. Furthermore, we enjoy a Constitutionally protected right of free speech, which is yet another reason he's free to say as he wishes.

What the AMA does or doesn't do has an effect to some extent on legislation and regulation of a hobby that many people enjoy both AMA members and otherwise. As such people can have opinions regarding the AMA without being a member of the organization. I am a member of the AMA, mainly because there is a very friendly group of folks 45 miles from my house who have an AMA club that I enjoy flying at.

There may be people who are not members of the AMA because they live in rural areas far from any available club fields. A non member is allowed to be supportive of the AMA and it's policies, so, also a non member is allowed to hold an opinion that is negative regarding the AMA.

I am not a union member of the railroad workers association, but I have opinions and thoughts about how they were treated by our government and support their rights to strike. As a non member of that group, am I not allowed to comment on, support, or not support them as I see fit?

This entire thread has devolved to a ridiculous point. As adults we should be able to have a discussion and hold differing opinions about the AMA.

Just my opinion and in this country, at the moment, I do still have a right to both hold that opinion and to comment on it in a public forum.

I'm pretty sure all one needs is the first amendment to comment on whatever they please. Anybody who tries to say you must be a member to have an opinion is just spinning logical fallacies to support their weak narrative.

I couldn't agree more!

We have gotten to the point where a difference of opinion on what are trivial matters in the grander scheme (toy airplanes!) leads to all out hostility and total lack of respect for one another. I suspect that we all have far more common than not and would get along well if we were to meet in the real world instead of throwing jabs at each other over social media.

Let's look at the thread that Echo started yesterday:

• Echo's first line is "Flight Test Safety Guidelines. Troll this." The last two words are almost asking for someone to attack either him, the thread or his post.
• Every post had something positive to say, no one attacked or trolled anyone else's posts
• Some posts actually built upon previous posts by others

Seems to me that all threads should be like that. Instead, we have many become dumpster fires like this one, attack this person or post over whether they have a membership number or have an opposing opinion to that of the attacker

Descending into paranoia much? I have no idea who Easy Tiger is and don't care. The designs I've been posting are free. They may only of interest to sailplane guys, but more of a contribution than trolls who can wring out a few pages of of hot air dissing that and the fever whipped up over two words in the first thread in a while that wasn't a complete fuster cluck.

I have one plane for sale that has a product page with a hobby supplier. It is in the process of being redesigned. In the meantime I put up the original files for that one for free as well, as I will with this version when it's updated.
