AMA Mar Rationalization of Breaking Rules

So, I'm now not only a "minion", I'm "a kid in the sandbox"? I'm sorry, but NOT HARDLY. You won't see many veterans allowing someone to call them a kid in the sandbox, at least not without making the person pay for it with lost teeth or broken bones. The US military members do use the term "sand box", but do so to refer to Iraq and Afghanistan and not as someplace they are going to have fun. It's normally used with trepidation or a bit of fear due to the many ways someone could be killed by snipers, improvised explosive devices or other just as deadly tactics. THEREFORE, it would be much appreciated that you don't use the term SANDBOX when referring to those of us you disagree with, ESPECIALLY ME!!!!!!

Maybe we should ship you over to Afghanistan and see if you still think it fits better. Maybe, if you get a bullet through the head or a leg blown off, you will change your tune a bit.

NO, it's not what happened to me. I was shot at by an angry Philipino brandishing an AK-47 in Manila International Airport back in December 1985 but was not hit. Needless to say, hearing half a dozen or so 7.62mm rounds going by my head gave me a new respect for the guys on the ground and the fact I was unarmed showed just how dangerous it can be to be in a "hot zone" and under fire

I'm no geography professor but if I'm not mistaken that's an awful long way from the Middle East. I don't get the connection. Look I'm well acquainted with members who served, and usually it's not a topic for idle chit-chat. There are a few who attempt to boost their self-esteem by reciting tales either made up or what they have overheard from someone else. Most times it turns out to be some supply clerk who never saw anything but the friendly side of the red zone. The only close call was from the local entertainment and most times a shot of penicillin took care of that.
I care not if you served out of country but the way you present yourself sure doesn't sound very convincing.

And you care why???? They haven't lied to me and nothing that relates to me has been hypocritical. You can trade insults with them all day to me your entertaining nothing more. Like here your not even 1% of the members so if I bumped into your attitude when I was visiting your club I probably would set up at the opposite end from you and enjoy the company of the other 99%.

Could it be we don't have a bunch of podunks like you guys and we trust our leadership when told they have become aware of a problem that possibly could jeopardize our excellent relationship with Transport and Nav Canada and until they resolve said problem all outdoor flying has been suspended and they have asked the membership not to speculate on social media or contact the government agencys on our own.

I don't brag about what I did or where I went while in the military because people like you don't appreciate the fact that someone almost got killed while defending their sorry azz.
You don't see a connection? The connection isn't the location but, rather, what happened at the two locations:
- service members were getting killed by terrorists
- I was almost killed by anti-President Marcos rebels

What do I have to do, show you the scar from a bullet that didn't hit me?

Not a chance on that one. You don't see me show an attitude in the forums because, quite often, I'm trying to hold back the desire to put my fist through the monitor screen. When I'm at work, like I am now, it wouldn't be a good thing to destroy a monitor. You do, however, seem to be forgetting something Echo. There are some in the forums THAT DO HAVE A LIFE OUTSIDE OF THEM AND R/C MODELS
