I was in for exactly 6 years and 7 months. Would have stayed in longer if I:

had gotten orders to a school I wanted when I got my flight deck qualification pulled due to an ankle injury
hadn't been screwed over on trumped up charges by a "glory seeking" E5
didn't have a wife that felt I couldn't be trusted overseas

I've tried to get other benefits over the years and even went to the Fleet Reserve office a few times, no luck. Then again, since I've been out for going on 35 years, I figure the last benefit I MIGHT get is a military funeral
