Yes or No. I am an AMA Member
Since I could not find a good "all around" forum to ask this question, I figured I'd put it here but with a slightly different angle.
I'm wondering how many folks that visit this forum are AMA members. Since we cannot know the actual numbers of AMA members that actively use RCU, we can try to see how many visit this forum. I'm curious to know how many AMA members are actually here. Some say many, others say a couple dozen. I'm thinking we can finally get that answer.
The question is easy. Yes I am an AMA member, or No I am not an AMA member.
Thanks,
Frank

I guess I should add for clarification: If you pay dues to the AMA, whether it be a dollar or more, you are considered a member in this poll. I don't know how you could not be considered a member if you pay dues annually or are a life member.

STL
PPP dont get ballots in the elections of folks that are elected by member balloting.
Who elects the DVPs & Prex/EVP? AMA members
Who doesnt elect those guys? PPP serfs
Members are required to get MA,
PPP isnt required to get MA.
etc
Frank, being interested in PPP, might want that data.
It is not hard for folks like you to add the PPP & AMA numbers for your interpretation,
but it would be very difficult to seperate the PPP out of a combined member option for other interpretations of the poll data.

Guys,
Please do not take this poll of topic by dredging up old arguements from previous threads. This poll is very simple, a person votes either "Yes" or "No" as to if they are an AMA member. There is no sub-classifications for what part of the AMA they belong to. And this thread does not require discussion about the various programs within the AMA.
Thank you
Ken

Put me down for " Only for the insurance". Frankly, the way the leadership of AMA, especially in the districts, try to punish anyone who disagrees with them, or just does not toe the line has cost me my zeal for this organization. I promote rc flying but not the AMA.

Not for nothing Ken, but why does RCU put polls in forum discussions and not standalones for users? I'm not for derailing the subject of the thread, but we should forget that the functionality is not limited to only pollings ... otherwise Mike and Marc would have been smart enough to render the discussion application useless in polling threads. Regardless of whether they are polls, you should still be allowed to discuss the subject, otherwise those crazy guys at RCU could just use survey monkey like the AMA uses for it's membership base.

RE: Yes or No. I am an AMA Member
Post #1 edited for clarification. There seems to be some confusion about who or what is considered to be an AMA member.
BTW, I am very surprised by the number of AMA members so far that visit this forum. I suspected 50 total. Man was I wrong.

Many visit but don't post. Can't say that I blame them. I just poke in here from time to time too see what the 6 or 7 guys who do post here are fighting about. Makes me feel good about the rest of the world. Mike

Did you notice, you have 61 responses, but you have 321 hits. What about those who look and don't respond?

Make it 64 responses and 355 hits...Really means that many of us visit 2 or more times...Every time you go out and come back to read the poll, it advances the hit clock...
I suppose some are just one time visitors though...
Yep, AMA for over 20 years...

Those hits can also be from guests I imagine. But I guess it doesn't matter much since they are not RCU members unless they are secretly using their employer's PC to surf the 'net.

"Exactly and of those how many look at this forum as a conduit to becoming AMA members? Too bad one of the potential doesn't understand this possibility. '
