Stringless Wonder article in the mag?

Probably a couple of years ago now, an article appeared in Model Aviation on how to convert Peck Polymers' "Stringless Wonder" from FF rubber band to RC electric power. I bought the kit and now I can't find the article. Does anyone know which issue it appeared in?

Thanks,

Harvey

Have you tried to find it in the Model Aviation digital archives? This is in the members only section of the AMA web site.

The RC Stringless Wonder feature article by Joe Haas in MA appeared as a construction project and plan set. If you access the AMA plans service you'll find a brief description. Purchase of the plan set includes a photo copy of the article pages. The project is a flat-foam tribute to the original design that included an all foam scale and 150% enlarged version. Both used RC systems from the ParkZone Ember and P-51 respectively.

Have fun!

I have tried to search the archives without success. I was looking for one of my articles for which I have forgotten the exact date. I emailed a complaint to headquarters last week, but have had no response.

Nevermind! Just tried it again, and it worked fine.

I had the same problem, sometimes it worked great, others nada. Maybe something in the way I entered the search terms.

It looks like the Stringless Wonder kit builds into a 20 gram plane so based on what seems to be today's standards, that dictates at least an OS90LA. According to the experts on the other threads, there's nothing wrong with being overpowered because you can always throttle back, right? ;)
