Nothing. He is one of the guys that gleefully flies his planes (usually a Radian) well abcve reasonable and safe levels, almost exlcusively from school yard fields, and always over the public. That includes buildings, schools, homes, and major roads/highways. Usually posts the flights online although there was a point he was hammered pretty hard by comments and started taking the videos down. Might be exactly the type of flier that invites a more aggressive form of enforcement, and I can only wonder if he would be the type to start talking about his "rights" when approached by LE.

I'm in no way saying he should be flying at a club field, or that he can't enjoy the hobby while not being part of the AMA (don't know if he is or not), but at the end of the day, it's not really a good move to post the videos that he does online. See Trappy example as to why.

I've never flown out of school yards...never got bothered by the hammering and removed videos, because they did what they were intended to do. Now, here's my suggestion to the rest of you guys, concerning the FAA registration...Don't! There' no law that states that you have to do so, now! Even the AMA has stated for it's members to not rush to register and hold off until February, because as things sit, the FAA is in breach of contract!!! If you're afraid of your government, then go ahead and OBEY...

Your videos were up there for all to see. Yes, to some degree they accmplished what their goal to get you the attention you were looking for, usually in threads that had to do with safe operations etc. At one point you were complaining to mods about it and rushing to either delete the videos, or make them private. Your flying is unsafe and ill advised, the videos attest to that in panavision color. Continue to fly as you see fit, that's on you, and if my some small chance you are approached by LE, I'd go ahead and comply with their requests. I would not start talking about breach of contract, as this is completely unrelated to any FAA action. LoL..or better yet do that and post up that video. LoL...who were the signatories to that contract again?

No, the videos never go away, you should know that.
I am not afraid of my Government when it applies to laws, which I respect and follow. Anybody that violates written Laws intentionally, is a fool and will be dealt with in Court.

What I don't understand is why people advertise they will continue flying without registering. If you are going to do that its a personal choice but posting it in a public forum is just painting a target on yourself.

I come on here and say I am not going to register and I certainly don't believe I am an idiot. There is only so much gov't intrusion I can take. Yes, registration is quick, easy and at the moment it is free. That is not the point.

I fly BLOS sometimes. Whether I register or not I could get in trouble and I am taking my chances. When I am not flying BLOS I am following the AMA safety Code and flying in a safe manner. Registration does not change this either. If the FAA is so bored that they need to drive out to Canisteo , NY and make an example of someone following the AMA safety code then so be it. I have a hunch I am not the person they are looking to make an example out of. I am not trying to be cool or a rebel or say other people should not register; I have just simply had enough of gov't intrusion and I am drawing the line here.

Hi Mike, thanks for your reply and I was actually in the process of changing the wording of my post to be less offensive. Calling people idiots is not polite and so I apologise.

I honestly don't know how heavy handed the FAA will get with this but if I was planning not to register I wouldn't advertise it. I may be wrong but I think this process is here to stay so its a personal choice (and risk) each person will have to make for themselves. I agree with you that the person they should be making an example of is the one who deliberately or wantonly flies with no regard to the safety of others and the registration process won't necessarily identify them as they are unlikely to register anyway.

I won't fly much in the NAS but when I do I am happy to play by the rules.

Sometimes it's difficult to get into the mindset of someone who wants to buck the system and do what they want to do. Perhaps he wants to test the law and become the next Trappy? Then again, this is a guy who also posts extended videos of himself holding his cell phone, selfie style, driving on highways and through the streets. He shows no regards for model aviation safety, and none for motor vehicle safety. No concern for others, just a drive to satisfy his own needs. I forget the term for that. But the videos live on forever and are great pieces of evidence used to show a pattern and practice of recklessness.

I do understand what you are saying and I am not normally one to willingly break the law, let alone post that I am going to do it. You won't find any unsafe vids/pics posted from me. I was always a good kid and have never been a trouble maker or rule breaker, but IMO this registration is so benign and unenforceable that I simply have no fear of not registering. I am also not anti-gov't. I just simply cannot follow along with this level of gov't intrusion into a hobby. I am all for making the NAS safer, but making 99% of the safe flyers register while the 1% that are causing the problems won't even register is just silly to me and I cannot support that.

Seems pretty smart to me. Maybe hanging a bump fire AR-15 would be smarter. I suspect he will need it in the next decade or two.
