Nope doesn't interest me I'd rather have FPV in my GS P-47 or an aerobatic plane. Be more fun to TO and land looking out the wind windshield, Don't U think. How about a Dog Fight with FPV?

I hear you. Quadcopters just don't do it for me either...but having an FPV capable model airplane is intriguing and FPV combat dog fighting sounds really fun.

Wrong ---> Another Drone Pilot doe's it Again

Correct ---> Another drone pilot does it again

Thank you ...

Bobby: I tried everything and could not edit the title. I PM'ed RCKen and he edited the title for me. Now we all can sleep better!

:cool: I had the same thought myself , but I gotta admit , one huge negative instantly popped into my mind ;

Unless you had multiple cameras , and were able to toggle the view behind you and then again back forward in less than a blink of an eye , you would be hobbling yourself greatly in RC combat . If your view is forward only , or even forward and somewhat to the sides with a panoramic style lens , you can't see what's most important , that which is on your tail . Standing on the ground directly viewing the models gives a complete view of all the action with no blind spots and it makes the battle all the more challenging in that no one can come up from behind unseen .

Even if direct eyesight holds an advantage , for now , , , It's still a cool thought to do FPV combat .

One Quad I might like I'd put the puck in the plane and have Lily follow it.

Thank you.

It's just my CDO kicking in.

CDO is just like OCD (Obsessive Compulsive Disorder), except that all the letters are in alphabetical order ... As they should be!

I could also use the extra sleep, too.

Technology is the problem. It must be restricted.

Guns are the problem .They must be restricted.

Any questions?

OK. When I see videos like this, i think that's pretty cool. Then I think that's not smart flying in some of the areas, like right over a city street, and chasing the poor deer. Flying over Qualcom when it's empty is one thing, but what about when it's full?
Then I think of all he YayHoos who think they can buy a quad and do the same thing.

I don't think the Sky is falling YET? But sometimes it makes us think a little more about what we are actually doing, or violating rules?
Give's ya a little more room before something bad happens. We all should know the Rules first, second obey them. We do not want something to go bad or wrong now do we?

Sadly we are a tiny minority of the population. A population that sees us as nothing more than a bunch of immature men playing with toy airplanes. When even one citizen has an issue with what we are doing the go to response is to put a stop to it. Most communities are quick to shut down this kind of activity for any reason, real or imagined. California is a prime example. Mile Square park in Garden Grove had three 18 hole golf courses and a nice hobby area. It had a nice runway and an area used for the Boy Scouts model rocketry. In the late 90's the city decided that it needed to have one more golf course and with almost no resistance from the community it happened. they shut down the hobby area and put in a fourth golf course. Most of southern California is at best electric only. To the rest of the country our "hobby" is a joke, and far too few would care enough to even give it a second thought if they just outlawed it completely. Our greatest threat is that, as long as it doesn't affect them the vast majority doesn't care if our hobby is outlawed. While most would agree that the right thing to do when someone does something stupid, is punish the individual, the average person may at most know one person in our hobby. That means that no matter what they do to the hobby only one person, in their mind, is being affected.

That expresses the difference between individual' freedom ... and collectivist' political systems, such as democracy, republicanism, socialism, islamism. I lump them all together, because they share the same essential tenets.

All have potential to abuse minorities, either by majority vote, or majority rule. But I don't think you grasp the idea that some of these are vertical collectivist and others are horizontal.. No not talking about 3D flying.

Would it be appropriate for you to explain the difference, here? I've never heard of this distinction.

Sport_Pilot 06-15-2015 07:28 AM

Vertical, as from the top, horizontal as from the masses as by vote.

Has the FAA MODERNIZATION AND REFORM ACT OF 2012 been read into the congressional record and made law yet. If not when?

Would you agree that, once you accede to voting, you give up all your property rights?

As I see it, you agree to abide by the wishes of the Collective.

The essence of voting is your acceptance that everyone has an equal say in the disposition of your property... collective ownership. Couldn't be much plainer than, that. Thus, voting is Socialism.

Obama signed this into law 3 years ago. It also provided the budget for operating the FAA at that time. And that includes funding the UAV department within the FAA. This question has been asked before, perhaps by you, and makes no sense.

Lot of people on here saying they would shoot down any drone over their property, like this?
