AMA: Mr. Congressman, please tell the FAA to leave us alone. We just want to play with our toy airplanes.
Congressman: No problem, we'll pass a law exempting you and your toy airplanes
AMA: Thanks!

FAA: We're writing regulations that cover UAS operations
AMA: Congress said you can't tell us what to do
FAA: Well, it's drones we are worried about, not toy airplanes
AMA: Sorry, they are the same thing, our organization represents all rc flying
FAA: So toy airplanes and drones are the same?
AMA: Yup
FAA: Ok, thanks for the info. That makes our job easier
