AMA met w/ OMB? Here's the rest of the story

AMA made a big deal of their meeting with OMB. It actually happened on 22nd of October (note 1), and both FAA and DOT reps were there as well. What AMA didn't tell us is that since their meeting w/ OMB, there's been 11 other groups that met with OMB (Note 2). These include DJI, AUVSI, CDI, Wing Aviation (Amazon), A4A, etc. etc. If you clock on "View EO 12866 Meetings," It will take you to a list of the various dates OMB had meetings with various groups (note 3). In cases where those groups left OMB with documents, those are posted as well.

It's about time AMA has pushed for exemption for the Traditional model. EAA has been sending letters to the FAA for the past three years asking for this exemption all the while the AMA was trying to make a one size fits all approach to this regulation so that they could still pander to the commercial and educational drone market.

it's a shame they didn't do this from the beginning....like a decade ago!

I am hoping not, but I am afraid it is too little, too late.

Awwww... cut them some slack. They couldn't do it before because they were busy trying to use the law to make us all become members!
