Contest Flying Program

Hello to you all.

I have been asked by my local flying club (Al Ain, United Arab Emirates) to put together a contest program that will be used to select the Middle East representative side to compete in International events.

Categories that they wish to select for are Non-Scale, Scale, Turbine and Helicopter. I have downloaded the AMA Competition regulations to use as a reference.

My questions for the forum community are:

1. What would be a good selection of maneuver's that will give the competitors a good indication of the standard they will need to achieve in the International Arena?
2. How many maneuvers are normally flown per competitor at a competition?
3. Are there any different maneuvers that the Turbine competitors would use, and what would be the size of the 'Box' for Turbines?

If there is any more info I need please let me know.

Thanking you for your help

I think what you really want is information on FAI aeromodeling. The AMA rules and regulations are rarely the same as those for international competition.
