Election RESULTS
Hi All,
Just got off the phone with the AMA, though they will not tell me who won, they are saying the election results will be posted on their site by tonight!! Keep your fingers crossed!!!!!!!!!! P.S. does anyone have the number of the lawyers who handled the FLA election in 2000? |
RE: Election RESULTS
I heard unofficially that:
President Dave Brown Dist 1 Andy Argenio Dist 5 Tony Stillman Dist 9 Mark Smith Congratulations, Districts. Condolences, AMA. --Bill Harris "Dave Brown, step down" |
RE: Election RESULTS
Maybe someone will get the message that some of the membership ARE interested in the outcome of the election and the material will be disseminated in the future as fast by the OFFICIAL channels as it is by individual members on this and other modeling forums.
I FEEL SOME NEEDED CHANGES ARE IN THE WIND! HAPPY THANKSGIVING ALL - WE HAVE A LOT TO BE THANKFUL FOR. |

ORIGINAL: William Robison Nick: That post is at odds with the posts you made before the close of voting. Bill. I read that and thought the very same thing. Could the possibility of being replaced as district V freq coordinator possibly explain that post;) Credibilty is difficult to regain once its been lost;) |

Even though Nick Wright has been the DV "Freq Freak", I know him better as a mod here on RCU. Except for his momentary aberration of supporting JD he's a pretty good fellow. Bill. |

RE: Election RESULTS
It is apparent that we need term limitations for the AMA. Thing must be pretty good at the top for a man ie DB to refuse to step down as president.

Erich:
While Judi Dunlap definitely is not G. W. Bush, comparing Kerry to our District Five winner is sleazy, an unmerited insult to Tony Stillman and all his supporters. In other words a vile canard. Over the years Tony Stillman has proven himself to be worthy of the office. Bill. |
RE: Election RESULTS
Does anyone know what the percentage is in District V of who actually voted as opposed to who was able to vote?
|
RE: Election RESULTS
NO! I was referring to the win of Dave Brown! Good God Man! I have met and respect Mr. Stillman, and look forward to his term.
Dave Brown on the other hand...no desire to meet that guy. |
RE: Election RESULTS
Erich:
Then I apologise, sir. It read that you were comparing TS to JK. Bill. |

DB _ UGHHHHHHH
What can we do to get rid of this bloated gas bag? Todd |

<sigh>, same way we got a new D-5 VP?

RE: Election RESULTS
Hey guys,
I know, respect, and have spent time in face to face and telephone conversations with all of the candidates for AMA President. I made my choice and I feel it is time for Dave Brown to retire as it is clear he seem to have reached the burnout stage. Please temper your remarks with the thoughts that we really are all in this together. Threatening to leave is an open declaration that you suffer from (or are a?) PEST. I THINK we are all on the same page about that, so let us NOT resort to personal attacks about him as in the past he DID some reasonably great things for the AMA. I want him to retire because he has also brought us some reasonably uncool things. |

ORIGINAL: F.Ciccarello It is apparent that we need term limitations for the AMA. Thing must be pretty good at the top for a man ie DB to refuse to step down as president. Despite the notion that term limits would have seen the end of McNeill's tenure much, MUCH, sooner than it actually ended, term limits have the truly undesireable effect of mandating the removal of good leaders as well as bad leaders. Another way to view term limits is to consider them as limitations on YOUR choice of candidate. We've finally got a couple of good leaders joining the Executive Council, and in the process managed to rid ourselves of a 'yes-man' and a dead head political appointee flunky. Don't clobber the good start made this Fall by putting term limits in place. |
