Missing AMA DVP!

Does anyone have a good address for the AMA District VIII Vice President, Dr. H. Sanford Frank?

Here is what happened to the last club newsletter we tried to send him, as he has asked.

T'would seem Dr Frank couldn't wait to be the first (after all, prime lots are going fast) I mentioned in an earlier post

"Gee, could you imagine the AMA becoming the condo management company for an R/C retirement community surrounding the national flying site? Tie this in with an airport, and you'd have an airpark also! Sounds so good, I'd actually retire there.
But that couldn't possibly happen. Insurance takes up the majority of the operating expenses, Right? Thats' what keeps increasing our dues, right?
tell me I'm right, Frank, please !!! "

An aerial survey will undoubtedly show the perk testing going on in all those "Productive" farming fields.
In Dr Franks' case, look for the newest trailer park, obviously a temporary address.

Jus' fer the "L' of it try sending it to BILL LEE. SF's email is now " [email protected]". That is via the Dist. VIII web site which is the property of Bill Lee.

If BL is forwarding SF's email maybe BL is also taking care of Sandy's other D-8 business such as regular mail.[:-]

Off Topic but is Frank now following the late JM's route by taking a bunch of pictures and just piling them in the MA column?
But then, OTOH, the April was a fairly informative and a good column, although Frank didn't offer much other than the space.

In any case I bet Lee knows where Frank is. Now what about that thing about a DVP supposedly being a bona fide resident of his district? ACTUALLY the Bylaws IX-4 only require bona fide residency during the nomination, candidacy and election. After taking office I suppose they are free to head for Kyrgyzstan if they so wish. For certain there is no one that will contest such move. :)

More accurately he is the VP of the AMA Texas District. [:-]

Close, no cigar.

X-2 allows for replacement of any officer due to transfer out-of-district.

Gotts to reside in the District, period.

Hay Jim,

Actually, the address on the NL is incomplete. I'ts supposed to be N. Brazos St., not just N. Brazos. I wonder if there's a N. Brazos Ave. The USPO is getting to be really anal about that sort of thing. I had a Pipe Creek member's NLs coming back as undeliverable becaue his street # got changed in the DB to a vacant lot next door to his property. The letter carrier could have delivered it but back a couple of them came before I caught the error.

OTOH maybe Sandy has moved.

To be truly accurate, he gives every appearance of being the VP of the Western Fort Worth and Wichita Falls District.
As he commented to me once, upon refusing to visit the largest event in New Mexico "I ain't going that far for a dozen people", knowing full well that the last event they had there was bigger than anyting I have seen in DFW--and bigger than most that get write-ups in Model Aviation...

Jeezus. Someone misadresses a newsletter and it's a big konspiracy.
How goofy is this?

Easytiger,
Don't be fooled by someone's misdirection, intentional or not. That exact newsletter address has been used for the last 6 or 7 years and never failed.

Weatherford ain't that big anyway that if you had the wrong Brazos on there it wouldn't make it to the right person....

It's only an issue because of the rumors that Sandy Frank doesn't even live in the district anymore.

I've never met him, but his deals in the AMA mag are a joke. Like someone told him to put more pictures so some months you get pictures so small you can't see them - none have labels - AND some months he has a small write up above the pictures and never mentions where the pictueres were taken or who they are, they are just "pictures". For all I know they could have been from a fun fly 5 years ago.

I moved to a new address 7 years ago. Previous address was about 2 miles away. Occasionally, I still get mail addressed to the old address - if it looks important. No forwarding sticker on it or anything - it just shows up in my new mailbox. Some Postal Service employess are really dedicated. Unfortunately, 99% of them give the USPS a bad name.

Off topic, but I just have to say it. It's so easy to berate the US Postal Service however I wish each person had the opportunity to do what I have done so many times when I was working -- for my new models! ;)
Sitting up there at 30-40,000 ft on some of those nights when the air was clear for hundreds of miles and one could see big city lights on the horizon hundreds of miles away, and so many thousands of lights down there through the farmlands, in the hills, valleys, and mountains and then I think, the USPS delivers mail to all these places 6 days a week, almost every week. There are so few foul-ups. Mail comes and goes every day and arrives within a few days. My bills always get paid. I have always received my checks that are mailed to me. Scam mail comes by the ton!:D It has to be the most massive operation I can think of.

Actually I just wish all businesses operated with just 80% of the efficiency of the USPS. My ex-employer did not and does worse by the day.
